Description
Head Combs is a safe and easy way to replace the heads on your hard drive. These tools ensure a non-contact head replacement. Non-contact head replacement means that there is no contact between the heads or between the head and the disc during the removal of the donor head and the mounting of the head on the patient driver.
The conventional technique of replacing the magnetic head means the contact between the magnetic head itself and the contact of the magnetic head with the magnetic disk in the data area. These problems are particularly exposed to drives that suffer from some physical damage (head impact).
The head can be transferred from the donor to the patient’s hard drive in a few simple steps. During head replacement, the heads do not touch each other or come into contact with the disc. Each changer tool is designed for a specific brand and model of hard drive because the mechanical structure of the different hard drives does not match.
This head replacement tool (Head Combs) can be used to replace the heads of almost all 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch (for WD) hard drives whose heads are parked on ramps. These head replacement tools are used to ensure that the heads do not touch each other during the replacement process and that they are easy to install back to the ramp.
These tools do not address head compatibility issues. They will only ensure that the heads are easily replaced on supported drives.
